This Requiem is one of the last works Robert Schumann completed during his life, leading many to speculate that he composed this work for himself during a time of declining health. It is rarely performed, despite containing powerful moments of great beauty.

A requiem is a Mass setting for those who have died, and this presentation comes just before the church’s celebration of All Saints Day.

The concert is free and will take place during worship service.
